On September 20th, Congress gets back to DC. From there, we only have one week until they're set to vote on bills that could be the largest climate investment this country has ever seen. That's why we're mobilizing to take action and make sure Democrats pass a bold climate agenda while they vote for the reconciliation package: a fully funded Civilian Climate Corps and bold investment in renewable energy, public housing, transit, and schools. We will demonstrate that we will not stop, we will not back down, we will not quit, until we win the first major legislative victory for our movement.
Join us at our table in front of Carr Health on Murray State's campus on Monday, September 20th! From 9 AM to 1 PM we will be writing and sending letters to John Yarmuth, KY Representative who is the Budget Reconciliation Chairman, to pass a bold Civilian Climate Corps as part of the budget reconciliation! We will also be writing to our 1st District Representative, James Comer, to support the Civilian Climate Corps and bold investment in renewable energy, public housing, transit, and schools!
Last fall, we voted in record turnout and elected a new wave of progressives, protected the House, flipped the Senate, and delivered Joe Biden a decisive victory. Now is our moment to demand Democrats deliver for our generation, so join us in demanding the most progressive package possible to fight the climate crisis! It's time to hold our Democrats and Republicans responsible for protecting the air we breathe, the water we drink, and our future on this planet.
